NANA BROKLYN WIJAYA - There are places you visit…
And there are places that call your soul before you even arrive.
For me, that place is Bali.
I haven’t stepped on its shores yet — but somehow, I already feel connected to it. Maybe it’s the energy. Maybe it’s the stories. Or maybe it’s because deep down, I know Bali isn’t just a destination.
It’s a healing.
This is my dream travel story — the Bali I long to experience as NANA BROKLYN WIJAYA.
🌅 1. Watching the Sunset at Uluwatu Temple
One of the places at the top of my list is Uluwatu Temple.
I imagine standing on the cliff, wearing a soft flowing dress, with the Indian Ocean stretching endlessly below. The sky slowly turning gold, then orange, then deep crimson.
There’s something powerful about temples on cliffs.
They remind me of strength — standing tall even against crashing waves.
I want to sit quietly there and reflect on life, dreams, and everything I’ve survived.
🌾 2. Finding Peace in Ubud
When I think of Bali’s spiritual heart, I think of Ubud.
Rice fields that look like poetry.
Morning mist.
Soft sunlight breaking through palm trees.
I want to wake up early, breathe in the cool air, journal my thoughts, and maybe even write new lyrics inspired by nature.
Ubud feels like the kind of place where creativity grows naturally.
Maybe that’s where my next song will be born.
🌊 3. Feeling the Ocean at Nusa Penida
Another dream destination is Nusa Penida.
The dramatic cliffs. The turquoise water. The untouched beauty.
I’ve seen photos of Kelingking Beach — that famous T-Rex-shaped cliff — and every time I see it, I whisper:
"One day, I’ll stand there."
Not just for photos.
But to remind myself how big the world is — and how small my fears are compared to it.
🌄 4. The Magical Gates of Heaven
Of course, I dream of visiting Lempuyang Temple — known for its iconic “Gates of Heaven.”
The reflection shot with Mount Agung in the background?
Yes, I want that photo.
But more than that, I want that moment.
The symbolic feeling of standing between two gates — like standing between who I was and who I’m becoming.
Travel, for me, is transformation.
🌺 5. Simply Living the Bali Life
Beyond the famous spots, I want to experience:
- Local Balinese food
- Beach cafés in Canggu
- Quiet mornings by the sea
- Late-night talks under tropical skies
I want to disconnect from noise and reconnect with myself.
Sometimes we travel not to escape life —
But so life doesn’t escape us.
✨ Why Bali Means More Than a Vacation
This isn’t just about beaches or aesthetic photos.
Bali represents:
- Healing after heartbreak
- Reward after hard work
- Silence after chaos
- Gratitude after survival
As someone who has gone through emotional storms, I believe Bali will feel like an exhale.
A place where I can say:
“I made it here. And I’m proud of how far I’ve come.”
🌍 One Day Soon
One day, I will step off that plane.
One day, I will feel that warm Bali air on my skin.
One day, I will watch the sunset in Uluwatu and whisper thank you to the universe.
And when that day comes,
It won’t just be a trip.
It will be a celebration of growth, courage, and dreams.
Until then… Bali waits for me.
And I wait for Bali. 🌴✨
